Near-Round

Near-round pearls are often round to the naked eye but actually have a slightly oval shape. They are more common and therefore less expensive comparable to round pearls.

Semi-Baroque

“Baroque” is a general term used to describe a variety of irregular shapes common to cultured pearls. A “semi-baroque” pearl may have remarkable symmetry in its shape.

Drop

Drop pearls are pear or teardrop in shape. Depending on its proportions, a drop may either be “long” or “short.”

Oval

Oval pearls are, needless to say, shaped like an oval – narrower at the ends than at the center.
